John Shannahan - President
A native of Talbot County MD, John grew up on a farm. Through the years, he's enjoyed plenty of sailing, cruising & racing in USA, Canada, Europe, Asia, & the Middle East. While a college student & sailing instructor at Milwaukee Yacht Club in 1967, John met Bill Schoendorf, the early dealer of Grand Banks Yachts. In 1971, John started the Oxford Yacht Agency. .

Rob Begor - Sales Manager....Rob brings years of experience in all phases of marine related fields. His primary function is Sales Manager for new and used boats. Rob can help you select and outfit a boat to meet your unique requirements or assist you in selling your existing boat.

Willy Smith - Yard Manager
Born in Bermuda & raised on Maryland's Eastern Shore, Willy enjoyed cruising the Chesapeake on his parents' converted bugeye. Willy has a very strong marine background and has worked in most facets of Dickerson Harbor from the beginning. He's developed prop removal tools specific to Grand Banks & Eastbay boats. He's also designed & fabricated specialty tools needed for efficient disassembly & re-assembly for large engines, transmissions, shafts & spurs. Influential in the developing and erecting of our building projects, operating all the lifts and equipment with a high degree of proficiency, helping meet the customers' needs with inside/outside dockage, service, maintenance, scheduling and warranty work. Phil Parrish - Service Co-Ordination Phil is a retired Duke engineer, Navy pilot, & boatyard manager of 40 years. He has years of experience in repair and restoration of boats, antique aircraft and furniture. He's raced and cruised the waters of Bermuda, Boston, Annapolis and Halifax. At Dickerson Harbor, he manages work orders, repair sales, projects and provides consulting. His hobbies include sailing, hunting, restoration projects, dog training and enjoying time with his grandchildren.

Pat Pitts - Head Mechanic
Working with us since 1993, he can service any type of marine engine. He's proficient in all modern marine electronics installations, the design/installation of electronic layouts, and the design/fabrication of custom-made masts. Pat has attended CAT Training Classes , the ABYC Corrosion Analysis Course and numerous marine electronics seminars.

Adam Higgins
Adam is our assistant mechanic. Having vast experience with a local fishing charter business, he makes a welcome addition to the service yard. He is currently learning more about marine systems from Pat and helps with boat deliveries.

Rumsey Seymour
A master builder & carpenter, Rumsey is known for implementing from design. He's very skilled at mock-up & construction of customer aspects such as Davit systems, complex AC systems, & metal component fabrication. A resident of Trappe MD, Rumsey has been working at Dickerson Harbor for 8 years. His current project is a custom install of KVH base for satellite TV.

Kevin Stevens
From Trappe, but currently living in Easton MD, Kevin started working with Dickerson Boatbuilders in 1974, then for John Shannahan & OYA in 1991. His specialties include fiberglass work, refinishing & gelcoat. Kevin can match any gelcoat repair or modify any fiberglass component on any Grand Banks including cockpit, hatches, settees, cabinsides or decks. He also custom builds molds and fiberglass parts for our special projects.

Sam Collins
Sammy has a full background of boat building and maintenance. He is also very proficient at Awlgrip spraying. There has not been any project that he didn't jump in and take the bull by the horns. We sometimes call him "Sammy Hustle" and are glad to have him aboard.

Carlos Oritz
Carlos is a real go-getter. He was intially hired to help wash boats but it was found that he had plenty of other skills as well. He generally assists Charles with compounding and polishing tasks, painting engine rooms and any other boat maintenance projects. You will usually find Carlos to be the first in every day.
