Step 1: The Attachment.........We start by locating the proper position (usually just outboard of each engine) and glassing in a backing block. As you can see, this block is substantial and should be a large enough surface area to stop any "flexing" of the hull as these work up quite a bit of torque. |

Step 2: The Power.........We pick up the power to run the hydraulics pump off of the main engine. The hose is heavy duty hydraulics hose and the fittings are stainless steel. |

Step 3: The Assembly.........This is what a complete system looks like with all hosing attached to the fin attachment. |

Step 4: The Installation...Proper alignment is essential. This is tricky as it is impossible to see both sides of the boat at once and it takes two men to hold the fin in place while the mechanic makes the attachment in the engine room. |
