Teak and Fiberglass Deck Repairs
We have done boat deck repairs on just about every type of boat imaginable. We have replaced core on sailboats and racing boats; replaced teak decking on Grand Banks and Eastbays; removed teak decks and painted non-skid. Our repairs are on par with any work coming out of a manufacturer's factory.
If you have teak decks, you will need teak deck repairs eventually. We can re-seam teak decks, replug decks or even remove or replace teak decks. We can revitalize teak decks to look like new if the teak is not deteriorated too far.
Boat Deck Non-skid
Some people prefer painted decks for low maintenance. If your decks are in need of painting, we can repaint fiberglass decks and add non-skid finish.
On older boats, you will often find bad balsa core in the decks due to leaking deck fittings. We can spot repair the core or do entire deck core replacements, as on the Pearson above.
Above: The deteriorated teak decks were removed on this Grand Banks and the decks were painted with Awlgrip and Non-skid. The color is the same color that Grand Banks uses when it sells boats without teak decks - Moondust. The results are a virtually maintenance free boat deck — quite sharp and clean looking.
