Custom Work - Eastbay 49 Extended Facia

The factory boat has it's appeal, but we thought an increased helm area would be more effective. Our solution is to extend the facia and window area. This area now contains tinted windows and screens. The new design improves air conditioning effectiveness, reduces glare and improves ventilation when an aft enclosure is emplyoyed. Our customized addition appears to be factory produced and does not have an "add-on" appearance.

Here the old framing has been removed to make ready for rebuilding. All the teak trim will need to be replaced to maintain the factory appearance. The stainless post does such a good job of support we have decided to build around the post, which keeps the new facia from having to support all the weight of the hardtop.

Mold Building:
The project required us to make molds for the new sides. Having these molds in stock enables us to offer this option on future Eastbay 49s.
