55' Little Harbor Whisperjet 55

Peregrine was built as a totally custom yacht utilizing an existing mold for the Little Harbor WhisperJet 52. The overall length was increased to 55 ft. Deadrise amidships is 18 degrees and deadrise aft is 13 degrees. The entire bridge deck and cockpit sole is teak. There is access to the engine room via a door located on the bridge deck and a large lifting hatch in the aft cockpit. There is storage under all seating including the stern seat and a small storage locker between the stern seats aft.

On deck, Peregrine features a Wesmar 24V bow thruster and anchor sprit for quick release of the anchor. A bow rail extends aft to lifelines for easy access into the cockpit. The hardtop is FRP and features overhead lighting. The entire top assembly is supported by aluminum anodized "legs" and there are opening isinglass panels forward, sides and aft.



Very fast with shoal draft, two staterooms, heads, large settee, galley, helmdeck and cockpit. Freshly awlgripped hull, varnish, exterior, interior and engine room detailing. Two, new Stidd seats and excellent electronics.

Interior Layout

Master stateroom forward with varnished teak, island queen centerline berth. Seating, cedar hanging lockers, shelves and bookcases flank each side of the master berth. Rheostat controlled overhead lights and additional reading lights. Aft to port is the master head with Vacu-flush marine toilet, Corian countertops and adjacent stall shower. An additional sink and vanity permit the area to serve as a guest head when needed. The sink and vanity assembly slide outboard revealing a the head with manual toilet

Aft to port is the guest cabin featuring upper and lower berths, bureau storage, hanging locker and combination washer / dryer. The upper berth folds down to provide a backrest and converts the area to a day suite with a sofa.

To starboard at the bottom of the companionway is a large, U-shaped galley with Corian countertops, outboard dish and dry food storage compartments, Grunert holding plate refrigeration with top loading freezer, three burner electric stove with oven and a large double stainless steel sink with Grohe "pull-out" faucet. The entire galley area has varnished teak corner posts and veneers throughout.

Forward of the galley to starboard is a large, U-shaped dinette with varnished teak table. The dinette upholstery is leather. The dinnete table lowers to create an additional double berth. The dinette backrest lift us to create an additional pilot berth. The forward dinette bulkhead houses a 13" TV with VCR. Outboard are bookshelves and locker storage. At the aft outboard end of the dinette is a drawer housing a fax machine.

Helmdeck and Cockpit

The helm area includes two new, Stidd helm seats with chrome bases. The pilot seat has electric up/down controls and a jog lever that is interfaced to the autopilot. To port is a generous navigation desk with additional stowage outboard. Settees are aft of the helm and pilot seats. The starboard settee is L-shaped with a teak drop-leaf table that seats up to 6 guests. Aft of the bridge deck there is a very large cockpit with teak deck, aft facing seats and large twin stern seats on either side of the center access transom door. The cockpit houses a pull-out hot/cold shower. Engine room access is via an electric lift that raises the laid teak cockpit sole. There is also a manual center engine hatch for quick engine access. Mechanical systems have been installed with service requirements in mind. A fiberglass hardtop covers the helmdeck. Eisenglass and strataglass panels, plus "sliding door" fully encloses the helm area.
