CONSTRUCTION

BOLERO was designed to the CCA racing rule to be a cruising boat that would be fun to sail and comfortable for offshore passage making.The boat is set up to have a centerboard which the owner has chosen to keep out of the boat as he has found the vessel to sail well without its use. If a buyer chose to have it back in place it would be reinstalled. The draft with the board down is 9'. 9'

Galley

The galley is to port in the fore and aft center of the vessel forming a walkway to the aft cabin. There is plenty of light and cross ventilation that make this a comfortable galley to cook in when anchored or at sea. Features are large working areas, abundant freezer and refrigeration space and high quality fixtures and equipment.

Mechanical

The mechanical equipment is installed in such a manner to make it easy to service and maintain. Rather than being located out of sight out of mind the equipment is out in the open where it can be monitored. Major components of the equipment are installed in a walk in machinery room and a engine compartment that can be open from all sides.

  • Three F500 Racor fuel filters for main engine and generator, one before the to day tank,one for the engine and one for the generator after the day tank.
  • Electric transfer for moving fuel from main tanks to the day tank.
  • Fuel shut offs on all tanks.
  • Fuel tanks can be sounded with stick.
  • Aft head has Lectra San (new) that can be valved overboard.
  • The forward head can be used directly overboard or with the use of a Y valve directed into a holding tank that can be emptied on deck or pumped overboard. deck,over board or led to pump overboard without going into the tank.
  • 2 1" par bilge pumps with auto switch.
  • 2" Edson manual pump.
  • Aqua lift muffler on both engine and generator, dual mufflers on engine.
