![]() 2000 Grand Banks 49' Eastbay HX Because this Eastbay 49 does not have teak sidedecks and foredeck, it is exceptionally desirable. It also had both engines replaced under warranty a few years ago and now has under 1300 engine hours on the new engines. Enterprise looks as though she could have been delivered new last month because she has been so perfectly maintained. | |||||||||||||||||||||

Accommodations From the helm deck one goes directly down to the saloon on the starboard side and the galley on the port side. Next forward on the port side is the guest stateroom with a head directly opposite. The full-width master stateroom is all the way forward and features a centerline double berth. The master head and stall shower are located between the master and guest stateroom. The mattresses in the master and quest cabins are deeper than normal for extra comfort. The main entrance to the engine room is through a door in the cockpit, hinged at the top.

Engines & Mechanical As was the case for many, if not all early Eastbay 49's powered with Caterpillar 3196TA diesels, they were replaced under warranty. In Enterprise's case, this was done later than on many others. The new engines were installed in 2003 and now have less than 1300 total hours of use.

Remarks Many, if not most Eastbay 49's have teak side and foredecks. Enterprise has fiberglass decks instead a feature appreciated ever more as a boat ages and one contemplates not only the cost of maintenance, but also the cost of replacing the decks. It is not often that one can say with considerable confidence that a brokerage yacht is truly better than new, but Enterprise represents of those rare situations. The condition is simply stunning, partly due to meticulous care and partly due to replacing things like upholstery and the helm deck enclosure long before more people would think it necessary. Enterprise will not be used enough in the future for the owner to justify keeping her, so she is being priced aggressively for a prompt sale. Usually you have to pay extra for perfection. This time you can have perfection at a normal price. Asking $ 695,000 |
