Accomodations

The Blackwater 29' has wonderful accomodations on deck and below deck. The large cockpit has transom seating, engine box seating, and twin Pompanette helm chairs. The cockpit has a teak sole and the windshield and coamings are well varnished. The side decks are wide and the fore deck is very accomodating. The two windshields open for ventilation. The helm deck is covered by a hardtop with canvas drop curtains for enclosure. The entire aft deck has a canvas cover.

The interior of the yacht has cherry joinery and good looking cushions. The galley is to port, at the base of the companionway steps. The enclosed head and shower is to starboard. Mechanical

The Yanmar 315 is an upgrade and moves the yacht along very nicely. It is easily serviced by tipping the insulated engine box; there is full access to sea water strainer, Racor fuel filter, thruhulls and service check areas. The shaft has a dripless shaft seal. The Blackwater 29 has a trolling valve to slow the yacht to any desired speed. The transmission and speed are controlled by a single lever Ultraflex control.

Deck and Hull

Solid hand laid fiberglass hull with Vinylester used in outer layers and and high quality polyester resin elsewhere. All other components are hand liad with high grade polyester resins with PVC core. The PVC rubrail is painted to match the hull. Spray rails are PVC. Fully protected prop and rudder with rudder shoe.
